This happens if the program uses Rich TextBox ActiveX Control (RichTx32.ocx), but does not include the ActiveX file in the setup package. (or) Failed to load control RichTextBox from RICHTX32.OCX. I figured there might be some sort of conflict with the previous version i downloaded, so i uninstalled version 2.1 and again attempted to run the new version to no avail, the same, annoying error message popped up. Component RICHTX32.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. I am currently running windows Vista 32-bit (if that helps at all) This is getting frustrating and if anyone knows what might be up if you could lemme know what YOU think the problem is, that would be incredibly helpful. the most recent thing i have tried is running the program in "administrative mode"

So i uninstalled version 2.1 and again attempted to run the new version to no avail, the same, annoying error message popped up.Īfter all this i went on your troubleshooting/ faq page and didnt find anything that helped a whole lot. regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\tabctl32.ocx regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\crystl32.ocx regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\Msflxgrd. I ran it anyway to find myself faced with the same problem:įiguring there might be some sort of conflict with the previous version i downloaded. You can resolve this by finding the file on another machine and placing it in the same location (Generally ocx files are located under c:WindowsSystem32 or c:WindowsSYSWOW64), then doing the following.

I then saw that you had multiple versions up and so i downloaded the most recent of them. If you try to register MSCOMCTL.OCX (which is 32 bit) on a 64 bit system and you put it in the typical C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder you will get: THE MODULE ‘MSCOMTRL.

Anyone have any ideas? We don’t want to use the bloated legacy install and then run it in compatibility mode, and we don’t want to get a current developer to rebuild either app so we can deploy the new PCs.Ok, so initially i went on your home page and clicked the first download i saw, which was the 2.1 version, and i got the following errorĬomponent 'TABCT元2.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid The last ditch effort? Try compatibility mode to XP – The test box with the “bloated” installer can run it, but the clean box cannot. However in an attempt to fix the issue we ran it on a test box – it copied the OCX file and put entries in the registry – now starting the app says: “unknown error”. regsvr32 c:windowssystem32tabctl32.ocx regsvr32 c:windowssystem32crystl32.ocx regsvr32 c:windowssystem32Msflxgrd. There is a legacy installer tool (it does a lot of weird stuff and was written by the same developer) that we don’t want to use because it does a lot of “not useful” stuff, and has out lived its usefulness. But none of the solutions seem to work with this app’s issue and Win7. Normally the error says “Component ‘TABCT元2.OCX’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file missing or invalid.” Now Googling this I get all kinds of solutions for this in Vista, and some XP, etc. But when installing/using a home grown app (was developed in house by a programmer who left the company) that is essential to our users there is an error. Re-Install the application that requires tab32x30.ocx.
